We were engaged to assist a Technology company to manage and train a new team of 60 developers in Vietnam. The client hired us to scale and develop their business quickly in time to complete a tight deadline.
We needed to distribute the team in different roles. There was no historical information about any capability or seniority levels of the team. A portion of the team members didn't speak English fluently.
Due to the cultural differences and also the complexity of the project, we build the teams based on personality. We introduced and trained them in Agile methodology while creating several frameworks to measure progress & performance.
We managed to build a team that was productive. Newbies were mentored for a month by an existing team member. Our 'work style' was a reference for onboarding new teams in the organisation.
